Mystikal has been in jail since last summer after being charged with first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. According to KSLA, a judge turned down Mystikal’s claims to have his bond lowered.

The rapper had requested to reduce the bail from $3 million to $500,000 on Thursday. His next hearing date is set for October 25. He plead not guilty to the alleged sexual assault chargers that occurred in October 2016 at a casino in Shreveport, Louisiana. Two other suspects have been charged along with Mystikal.

Mystikal has previously spent several years in jail for sexual battery and extortion, and is a register sex offender. When he was released from jail, he was also hit with a domestic abuse charge, which was a violation of his probation.
