Busta Rhymes delivered an epic return to the music forefront with his tenth studio album Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath Of God. Having borrowed the assistance of music icons and long-standing legends like Q-Tip, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, the late ‘Ol Dirty Bastard and many more, Bus had made it clear that his mark on hip-hop is forever cemented with his undeniable craft.

As there has been much talk about Verzuz Battle discussions with T.I., but nothing coming from that, Busta took some time to reveal some incredibly shocking news on the latest installment of Van Jones’ The Messy Truth. Busta shared memories of his life and career early on, as the now 48-year-old rapper reflected on his fist opportunities with Chuck D and Leaders Of The New School.

Busta also got extremely candid of his near death experience when he reached 340 pounds and was ultimately having difficulty breathing. Telling Jones about a past doctor visits Rhymes explains, I’m like you need to tell me what the f*ck you seeing, I need to hear what’s going on” Busta says he told his doctor. His doctor them told him, “Your polyps grew so big that it blocked 90 percent of your breathing passage and if I send you home tonight and you sleep under the AC and catch a cold and that last 10 percent of breathing of your breathing passage gets blocked up…you are going to die tonight.”
