In a recent interview, Common revealed his admiration for rapper Kanye West.

“I’ve known him since he was 19—he was always speaking out. Some of my friends wanted to fight him. I always admired him. There’s courage— instead of being politically correct.”

Common has also been public about his social engagement regarding societal issues. Kanye is also currently working on his new album which is set to be released soon.
