LL Cool J Honored With Statue In Hometown Of Queens

LL Cool J has held G.O.A.T. status for decades now and with his recent induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, the icon continues to receive his flowers as a new statue in his liking has been unveiled in his hometown of Queens.

Crafted by artist Sherwin Canfield, the LL Cool J monument stands in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, the statue portrays a younger LL, featured with his signature Kangol bucket hat, braided chain, and boombox. Speaking on his creation, Canfield commented, β€œI am proud to present my latest & most ambitious public sculpture.”

Famed emcee LL took to his social media account to celebrate the moment, writing in his Instagram caption update, β€œAnything is possible. Statue of me in Corona Park, Queens by the talented @sherwintheartist.”

The G.O.A.T. monument will be on display at David Dinkins Circle within Corona Park until November 2022.
