Last week news of the legendary producer and West Coast icon’s brain aneurysm sent shock waves throughout the hip-hop community as we all came together to lift Dr. Dre in prayer for a full recovery after suffering a serious and rare injury. Although Dre himself, along with friends like LL Cool J, gave everyone an update that he was in good spirits and resting, almost a week later, doctors have yet to determine what caused the January 4th incident.

According to TMZ, sources close to the famed artist and businessman stated that Dre is still in the same place in the ICU as doctors continue to do a battery of tests to determine the root of the problem. Doctors have also kept the Cali native in ICU to closely monitor him in the instance, God forbid, another aneurysm occurs.
Dre shared a message with his fans after his reported hospitalization was shared to media outlets, saying, “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes” he shared in an Instagram caption. Dre continued, “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
