It’s safe to say Fat Joe knows talent. Having worked with some of the most legendary artists in the music industry, such as Big Pun and Remy Ma, Joe did miss one important rapper.
In a recent interview with Florida station’s 99JAMZ, Fat Joe talked about passing on Eminem six times when Em was just a kid from Detroit trying to give him his demo. “Eminem out here in Miami, he gave me his demo like six different times,” Joe said. “Everywhere I went was this little white boy, and he kept giving me his demo. He was like ‘listen to my music, I’m telling you I’m nice, I’m nice.’ I never really … I didn’t do it! Now, he’s the biggest guy in the universe.”
Eminem went on to become one of the biggest selling artists of all time, with more than 230 million records sold globally. Not only that, he’s also won 15 Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, 17 Billboard Music Awards, an Academy Award and a MTV Europe Music Award for Global Icon Award.
