It should come as an expected feat for any Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson movie to come out in the No. 1 spot. This weekend’s box office top spot has gone to the Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, who managed to impress with its debut.

According to Variety, the new movie earned a total of $60 million dollars from a rough total of 4,200 U.S. theaters this weekend alone. Considering the big-budget for its production, it should come as no surprise to anyone. The main cast also features Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson, with big numbers also expected to be brought in from the international markets. With the movie being shown in 63 international markets so far, the number has reached an impressive $180 million worldwide so far. Hobbs & Shaw has now become one of Universal’s highest-grossing titles, being at the No. 5 spot behind titles like Furious 7 and Fifty Shades of Grey.

In the Fast & Furious spin-off, the two join forces to attempt to defeat a genetically enhanced villain (played by Idris Elba). Not only does the film offer action, but it includes comedic relief as well.
