Prince’s legacy has continued after his passing. Whether it be unreleased tracks, music videos or artists’ performances, many have found ways to honor the late-star. Now it appears Jay-Z will be hosting a listening party for the upcoming Prince LP, Originals, during a TIDAL event held in Los Angeles on June 6th. Not only that, the streaming service will also allow its members to attend the album celebration from different countries, such as: Spain, Poland, Brazil, and many others.

Originals will feature 15 hand-picked tracks that both Jay-Z and Troy Carter selected. The Prince estate has allowed the release of the album, which is set to feature 14 unreleased songs. Songs will showcase the late great performing original versions of songs he wrote for other artists.

“Prince led the way, for artistic freedom, for ownership,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “He’s one of the bravest people I can think of in the industry. He trusted us, not just me, but TIDAL, to continue his fight. Trying to help further that legacy through his music is both an honor we couldn’t pass up as an organization dedicated to empowering artists. This gives his true fans that peak behind the curtain.”

Back in 2015, Prince signed the deal with TIDAL which allowed for the release of future albums from his vault. The late singer previously praised Jay and TIDAL for their efforts to support real musicians, allowing them to have creative freedom.

“After one meeting, it was obvious that Jay-Z and the team he has assembled at TIDAL recognize and applaud the effort that real musicians put into their craft to achieve the very best they can at this pivotal time in the music industry. Secondly, TIDAL have honored Us with a non-restrictive arrangement that once again allows us to continue making art in the fashion we’ve grown accustomed to, and we’re extremely grateful for their generous support,” he said after signing the deal.

Originals will be exclusively released on TIDAL on June 7th. The album will then be released on all streaming sites on June 21st.
