Friends and fans of Nipsey Hussle are set to gather at the Staples Center to pay their respects for the late rapper. According to reports, Nipsey’s family was looking for a venue to accommodate the large crowd that is expected to attend the memorial. According to TMZ, the memorial service will take place this Thursday morning at the Staples Center in Downtown LA.
Seats are set to be sold through a website, that hasn’t been released yet, for a seat in the 21,000-seat venue. “Our sources say there was a meeting Wednesday with Nipsey’s family and honchos from Staples. LAPD officials were also present in the meeting to help plan logistics and security for the event,” they said.
The late rapper has been honored in many ways, but Friday’s “Unity Walk” proved to be historic in the city.
“Nipsey was the first real LA. artist that was from L.A…not like Tupac who was from somewhere else and then L.A., and Biggie. Nipsey was the first like real L.A. artist to die the way he died. He didn’t have no conflict with nobody, he wasn’t beefing with nobody.” Community leader, Big U said.
Rest In Peace, Nipsey Hussle.
