R. Kelly May Reportedly Get 15-20 Years In Prison

It seems like the R. Kelly story finally had an ending Friday, as the singer was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. Kelly may have gotten away with the child pornography charges that were presented years ago, but now it seems like he’ll be having a more difficult time getting out of this.

“He may end up in prison for 15-to-20-plus years,” says Anthony Salerno, a criminal defense attorney. “Illinois has consecutive sentencing for multiple child sex victims, so you take very tough potential sentencing for even one charge and then you add multiple victims.” Salerno goes on to say that the judge is expected to give Kelly a hard time, “He’s going down hard, I predict.”

This seems like justice being served after multiple allegations throughout the years about the singer and his partners. Many of these accusations came to light after the Lifetime Docu-Series surrounding the alleged victims of the singer.

Now, Kelly is due in Chicago court to face the charges.
