Saul “Canelo” Alvarez has secured himself a $375 million contract, which includes 11 upcoming fights. The Mexican boxer is expected to complete those 11 fights in the span of 5 years. The first of the fights will see him go against Super Middleweight champion, Rocky Fielding on December 15th of this year.
“Canelo is the highest-paid athlete in the world. He’s extremely happy,” promoter Oscar De La Hoya told ESPN after Alvarez signed the contract.
After defeating Golovkin, Canelo seems ready to continue his boxing journey. Although we don’t know if the two boxers will face off anytime soon, it would be interesting if it was included in one of the eleven fights.
Canelo Alvarez will make…
