Although Tidal users have the advantage of having access to the entire Jay-Z discography, it seems like Spotify will match that. Spotify and Apple Music are successful as is, but the lack of Hov albums has long been a negative on their streaming services.
One could still buy physical copies of Jay’s work, but Tidal has been the only way to consume his music in the streaming era to this point.
According to a report, three of Jay’s albums have appeared on Spotify, and are available to both free and paying users: The Hits, Blueprint Collector’s Edition, and American Gangster.
We still don’t know if more Jay albums are set to be released on the streaming site, but this is a step in the right direction for many to listen to his catalog.
