According to a recent report by Rolling Stone, the two-hour special will use never before seen interviews to detail who Michael Jackson was outside of his iconic status. Despite the title, ‘The Last Days of Michael Jackson,’ the documentary will reportedly highlight every aspect of his life. It will go deep from his days as a child prodigy in Gary, Indiana, to being the biggest superstar in the world.

The Last Days of Michael Jackson will feature those closest to the icon to recall the hidden portions of his personal life, while also showing how his tragic passing affected everyone.

The more humanistic side of the singer will be the main focus of the film. It will showcase The King Of Pop’s traits and his desire to be “normal.” It’s a longing that is summed up with a powerful quote from Jackson himself.

“Give him a chance to rest. He has a heart. He is human. Let him have a bed, a pillow. What more can I give?” said Jackson, referring to himself in third-person.

The Last Days of Michael Jackson is set to air on Thursday, May 24 on ABC.
