The legendary trio of hip-hop icons Ice Cube, E40, and Too $hort started their careers when they were younger, but still want to bring music to the next generation with a music scholarship. Initially starting the rap group Mount Westmore during the pandemic out of boredom, the four legends Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, E-40, and Too $hort linked up to have fun.

Although missing Snoop’s presence for the day, the rap gods sat down to speak with 935 KDAY Morning Show co-hosts Cece and Romeo on owning physical copies of their music and the artist experience. All while having a huge debate about the 49ers vs Raiders.

Too $hort also took a moment to reflect on a time when he was almost blackballed from the industry and how this inspired his lyrics saying y’all can’t blackball me I go back with rap. Mount Westmore goes on to express gratitude for the love and support that comes from southern California and KDAY. The supergroup’s debut ‘Snoop Cube 40 $hort’ is just the first album of what is to come from the legendary artists: “Hip Hop is amazing! You can’t shut it down or put it in a box, you can’t tell it where to go or what to be, but we OGs and we havin fun!”
