This off-season has been one of tremendous highs for the Lakers. With the addition of key pieces to the team, managing to keep Kyle Kuzma from the New Orleans Pelicans was certainly a huge plus for the squad. Kuzma has been showing a lot of potential with the Los Angeles team and during a recent interview with ESPN, he expressed the confidence in his development.

“I don’t feel no pressure, but I believe that I am capable of being that superstar. I put a lot of work in,” Kuzma said. “My progress through my journey shows that I can be there. I developed every single year, dating back to college, and I don’t see that development stunting at all.”

Kuzma went on to say that he still has a lot of work to do, and is aware of what held him back last season. “Last year I didn’t shoot the ball well, and I still averaged almost 20 [points per game],” he said. “If I can shoot the ball well and keep developing the facets of my game defensively, I don’t see why I can’t [be that third star].”

With the amount of faith the Lakers organization has on Kuzma, this upcoming season should be a break-out year for the young star.
