Jay-Z Partners With Cannabis Company As New Brand Strategist

Not only is Jay-Z hip hop’s first billionaire, but he’s looking to dive in to other ventures that will continue to make him money. The mogul has announced his new partnership with California cannabis company Caliva, in which he will be working as the company’s new brand strategist.

Having already ventured off in working against social issues in the community, he’s looking to take a similar approach with the cannabis brand. Jay is focused on helping people who’ve been incarcerated on weed charges and helping them find jobs in the legal marijuana business.

“Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level,” Jay-Z said in a statement. With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos make them the best partners for this endeavor. We want to create something amazing, have fun in the process, do good and bring people along the way.”

With this, Jay has stated that he’s found the best company that he believes will align with his values.

“For Jay-Z to seek out Caliva as a partner is humbling and confirms our mission of being the most trusted name in cannabis,” Caliva CEO, Dennis O’Malley stated. “To find that we were in complete alignment around our values and ethos was just a home run.
