Michael Jackson did the first ever “documented” moonwalk at Motown’s 25th Anniversary TV Special 35 years ago, in 1983. The iconic move took place when he performed “Billie Jean,” and has been a staple ever since. However, GWS Auctions has reported that Michael’s loafers from that day are now being auctioned to the highest bidder.

“Anything related to Michael Jackson is extraordinary, and to have something so incredibly historical as these shoes worn by Michael when he first did that now famous moonwalk is beyond special.” Brigitte Kruse, the owner of GWS Auctions said.

Michael’s shoes come with a letter of authentication. The shoe has a “Motown 25” inscription and Michael’s very own signature on the soles in blue marker. You can bid here.
