Jay Pharoah Demonstrates Some Of His 200+ Impressions & Talks Improv With Romeo

Jay Pharoah joins Kday morning show host Romeo for a hilarious morning chat. Jay Pharoah is best known for his stand up comedy but you might also know him as an impressionist, actor,  rapper, and singer. From 2010 until 2016, Pharoah performed as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live. He was then listed by Rolling Stone magazine as the 55th biggest cast member of Saturday Night Live in 2015.

Romeo and Jay discuss how performing in a comedy club differs from performing in theaters and arenas. “There’s nothing like the rawness of a comedy club, that intimate connection that you get right there with the crowd. When you do theaters, unless you’re in the front row there’s a slight disconnect. If you do arenas you can forget about it, because the front row is pushed back.”

Jay continues to talk about his upcoming shows, how he handles improv, how he engages the audience and his 200+ impressions. Follow Jay Pharoah on all of his social media platforms to stay up to date on his schedule, and don’t forget to see one of his upcoming performances at the Irvine Improv!
