If you ever wanted to get your hands on a pair of Kanye West-worn sneakers, then this is still not your chance.

Kanye’s Nike Air Yeezy 1 prototype sneakers have just sold for a record-breaking price estimated at $1.8 million, which makes the shoes the first sneaker to sell for seven figures. The sell also makes the rapper’s shoes the most valuable footwear to ever be sold in sneaker history. What makes the kicks so special is that the shoes were worn during Ye’s 2008 Grammys appearance where he performed “Hey Mama” and ” Stronger”.

Rares, which is an online community and marketplace for collectible sneaker investment, announced they purchased Kanye’s Air Yeezy 1s through a private sale through the prestigious auction house Sotheby’s. The site is actually offering users the chance to purchase fractional and affordable shares that can now be purchased on their website.
