Aretha Franklin is remembered as one of the greatest artists of all time. Her impact influenced many and many people still look for ways to honor the late singer.

However, Kecalf Franklin, son of the Queen Of Soul, has condemned MGM’s upcoming film about his mother. He says that the family doesn’t support the “Respect” movie starring Jennifer Hudson and urges fans to boycott it.

He goes on to say, “the ‘ONLY’ person my mother was in favor of for the movie was JENNIFER HUDSON. period. Everything else is being done against our wishes.” He also previously took issue with the book, The Queen Next Door: Aretha Franklin, An Intimate Portrait.

“Respect” is set to be released on October 9th.
