“Spider-Man: Far From Home” Smashes Overseas Box Office With $111 Million

Spider-Man: Far From Home has easily been one of the most anticipated movies of the year when it was announced. Considering “Avengers: Endgame” was a massive success in the box-office worldwide, markets like Japan and China are always important to look at when the first week is finished. In this case, it was similar for the Spider-Man movie. The film pulled $98 million dollars in the box office in China, $9.4 million dollars in Japan and $3.8 million dollars in Hong Kong.

The movie follows Peter Parker attempting to move forward despite the loss of his friend, Ironman. With this, Peter and his school friends take a trip to Europe without knowing trouble was awaiting. The film also features big-name actors, Zendaya, Samuel L. Jackson, J.B. Smoove and the addition of Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays Mysterio.
