Scarface has undoubtedly left his mark in hip hop as both a solo act and as a member of the legendary trio, Geto Boys. However, it appears Scarface, or Brad Jordan, is also looking to make his name be known in the political sphere, as he’s running for Houston’s District D to becme the next city council representative.

The decision appears to come from an Instagram post Scarface uploaded asking fans of he “Should I run for HOUSTON City Council??” The Geto Boys MC received positive reaction to his post and within the next couple of days, he made an official pitch for the council. A website with a PayPal account was also added that allows supporters to financially support the movement. Although there is no political platform in writing as of yet, he made sure to add that more would be “Coming Soon..”

Just last year, Mayor Sylvester Turner and Councilman Dwight Boykins declared June 26th as “Brad ‘Scarface’ Jones Day” throughout the eleven districts in Houston.

Salute to the legend!
