Not only is Joey Bada$$ a prolific rapper, but he appears to be getting more into acting as of late. In a recent interview, Bada$$ revealed that he’s gearing up to be a part of Hulu’s upcoming Wu-Tang series. The Brooklyn rapper stated that he would be playing the role of Wu-Tang Clan‘s Inspectah Deck. “Me and Dave East is in Wu-Tang,” he said. “I’m Inspectah Deck.”

Bada$$ is the second rapper already cast to play a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. Harlem’s Dave East is cast to play Method Man, with the mini-series expected to be released later this year. RZA and Method Man will also serve as the executive producers of the series.

The Brooklyn rapper went on to talk about Hulu’s involvement with the 10-episode series, saying that the network has been hands-on all the way.

“It’s pretty on point from what I’ve seen,” Bada$$ said. “I like what they’re doing. I like how they’re doing it. The only thing with TV is it ain’t a music video. There’s no playback. You just have to trust. You have to give your best performance and hope they pick the right take.”
