Mary J. Blige and her ex husband, Martin “Kendu” Isaacs were previously hit with a lawsuit by their former landlord. The couple had reportedly agreed to pay a total of $25,500 monthly in rent. According to Bossip, the landlord says Blige and Issacs stopped paying rent after the first three months.
Even after the couple split, they reportedly never continued paying the money to the landlord. According to Golden Ventures, both Blige and Isaacs trashed the apartment and removed expensive equipment from the home. With this said, both of them were sued for the total of $58,211, plus money back, interests and lawyer fees.
Both Blige and Isaacs are due to appear in court next month regarding the case.
