R. Kelly has been in hot water ever since the release of Surviving R. Kelly early this year. The documentary showcased the disgraced singer’s allegations, ranging from allegedly abusing multiple women to sexual relations with minors. The documentary also led to a series of lawsuits that ended up in ten-counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Kelly has now reportedly lost one of the lawsuits this week. According to the Chicago Tribune, the singer failed to show up to his set court date which resulted in a loss. The woman claimed she was 16 when both her and Kells began having a sexual relationship back in 1998. The lawsuit has totaled to $50,000 in damages.

“Robert Sylvester Kelly has failed and refused to file an appearance or answer to the Complaint even though [he is] required to do so,” the Tribune said.

Darrell Johnson, R. Kelly’s publicist, has stated that they don’t care about the lawsuit. “The lawsuit means nothing to us,” he said.
