It seems like Toni Braxton and Birdman never broke up when rumors surfaced a couple months ago. Braxton went on to admit that the rumors of the split helped their relationship, as it brought them needed privacy. In a recent interview with ET, Toni Braxton discussed the season six premiere of Braxton Family Values, where she also addresses the rumors of the breakup.

Earlier this year, Toni and the Cash Money boss hinted the split, which turned out to be a rumor. Birdman has written “It’s over,” on his Instagram story and Braxton shared a photo captioned, “Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice…but ALWAYS choose to be chosen.” Braxton said that their posts had no correlation and that she wasn’t sure where the rumor came from.

“We don’t know what happened,” Braxton said. “It just kind of [came out of nowhere]. Someone said it and we were like, ‘OK, we’ll just ride with it because it’ll give us some privacy. So that’s good. But we’re good.”

Many should’ve speculated that the split did not happen considering Birdman continuously expressed his love for the singer. He showed up and surprised Toni in the middle of her show and posted a picture of them with the caption, “4LiFE.”
