With the recent resurgence of older brands like Champion and FILA making a comeback to the mainstream market, Baby Phat looks ready to follow those steps. Nostalgia is sometimes essential when it comes to how well a brand does, thus why this early 2000s brand is set to relaunch soon.

Kimora Lee Simmons, the founder of the brand, recently announced that she’s purchased company back from an unknown seller. With this said, she’s wasting no time, as she has plans to relaunch the company this spring.

“It’s perfect timing for this,” Kimora told WWD. “Over the past several years, we realized the brand resonates with people and lives deep in their souls.”

When the brand was popular it managed to generate around $1 billion dollars, with celebrities sporting it regularly. The new brand will target millennials and will aim to bring the “retro” brand to multiple retail stores across the country.
