Gucci has been in hot water lately following their new “blackface” face mask design. Although they are not the first to do this, it does seem like a tone-deaf incident that should’ve never happened in the first place. Following the release of their new product, Spike Lee became one of the first people to announce that he’s be boycotting the brand. With this, T.I. has joined the boycott by issuing a statement on social media regarding his position.

T.I. made sure to let us know that he’s an avid shopper of Gucci, but made sure to drag them as their racially insensitive item crossed the line. The rapper goes on to say that all people of color should boycott the brand for three months, as we see this over again similar to H&M’s past campaign.

“As a 7 figure/yr customer &long time supporter of your brand I must say…Y’all GOT US f***** UP!!! APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED,” he wrote. “Our culture RUNS THIS S***!!! We (People of color) spend $1.25 TRILLION/year (but are the least respected and the least included)and if we stop buying ANYTHING they MUST correct any and ALL of our concerns. That’s THE ONLY WAY we can get some RESPECT PUT ON OUR NAME!!!!”
