Lakers’ center, JaVale McGee has looked great in his short stint with the team and is set to continue making an impact. After the game against the Phoenix Suns, LeBron James has nothing but praise for McGee.

“He’s so active,” LeBron said. “I think it starts with his defense. He moves down the floor and we are always looking for him.“

McGee was vocal as well, mentioning the thing that might have hindered his career previous to joining the Los Angeles squad.

“This is what I want to say about the asthma,” McGee told reporters. “Stop bringing that up like I’m out here wheezing and having asthma attacks. I’ve never had an asthma attack in my life. I feel like that’s definitely lowered my value as a basketball player.”

Players such as Richard Jefferson and Dennis Rodman played a great amount of minutes with asthma throughout their careers as well. Hopefully through the mentorship of Luke Walton and experienced players McGee will be able to deliver for the Lakers.
