Janet Jackson is an icon in the music industry. Now, she is set to receive one of the most important awards to add to her already-prestigious list.
Jackson will be heading to Bilbao, Spain on November 4th to accept this year’s Global Icon Award at the MTV EMAs. She will also perform some of her greatest hits including her new song, “Made For Now.”
The singer is the second most successful female act ever and the ninth biggest-selling pop act of all time. Past winners of the EMA Icon award include: Whitney Houston, Green Day and U2.
“I think for a lot of [artists], the cameras and the accolades, all the attention, it validates them…But not for me.” She previously said.
