Just beginning 2018, K. Dot was revealed to curate and help produce the Black Panther: The Album soundtrack. The movie became an instant hit and Kendrick showcased the movie’s vibe throughout the album. With this under his belt, it looks like he may have more opportunities in the film industry soon.

Kendrick’s has already received major recognition this year aside from the invite to the movie academy. The Compton native became the first non-jazz or non-classical artist to win the Pulitzer Prize for music. In addition, he just won the Top Rap Song at the ASCAP awards this past weekend.
