Radio personality PJ Butta is what the streets call an “OG” who’s been working in Los Angeles radio for 25 years now.
The “smooth like butta” voiced PJ lucked into his first radio gig at KKBT “The Beat” by talking his way into an on-air position, becoming the first Filipino-American to be on the radio in LA. He also landed another first, as the first
DJ to break the news of Tupac Shakur’s death in ’96, and helped the careers of artists like Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and The Fugees with his Butta Bootleg new music releases.
Currently, you can catch PJ in LA on 93.5 KDAY from 10a-3p, worldwide on the internationally syndicated World Chart Show, and at Mt. San Antonio College teaching students how they can luck into their own first radio gig.
