93.5 KDAY has partnered with McDonald’s to highlight the greats of Black Music this June for Black Music Appreciation Month! Tune in to 93.5 KDAY throughout the month to hear if your favorite artist is highlighted.

June was declared Black Music Month in 1979, the same year a hip hop single first hit the top 40. But the world celebrates black music all year round, every year. That’s why McDonald’s pays respect to Black Music Month and the many musical styles created by the community.
