LeBron James is set to executive produce a new Showtime three-part documentary series on the changing role of athletes in the current political environment titled, “Shut Up and Dribble.”
Showtime president and CEO David Nevins made the announcement on Monday.
The title of the series will be taken from Laura Ingraham, a conservative pundit who made remarks to James in February when players from the Golden State Warriors declined an invitation to the White House after the 2018 NBA Finals. The series will be starting in 1976 and will finish on the current state of the NBA today.
The series is set to be released in October.
