Too $hort caught up with Romeo on 93.5 KDAY to talk all things new music, starting with his latest project, Sir Too $hort Vol 2: Drink & Smoke, produced entirely by Lil Jon. He got into what it’s like linking up with Lil Jon in the studio and how their creative process comes together to build the sound of the album.
The legend also just joined the 60-year-old club, and he’s not slowing down anytime soon. Too $hort spoke directly on ageism in hip hop, pointing to legends like Snoop, E-40, and Ice Cube still putting in work:
“There’s a lot of ageism in hip hop, but look at the legends still putting in work—Snoop, E-40, Ice Cube, and so many others. I’m not done. If nobody beats me to it, I want to be the first 70-year-old rapper still in the game. And if it takes another 10 years, I’m good with that.” — Too $hort 🎤👑
He also touched on upcoming shows and what fans can expect next. Watch the full interview now. 🎤🔥
