The Wu-Tang Clan has been sued for copyright by 60’s group, The Diplomats (not Dipset), for their 2017 song, “People Say.” The Diplomats claims Mathematics, a producer for the Wu-Tang Clan stole the melody, lyrics, and rhythm of their 1969 track, “I’ve Got the Kind of Love.” The trio claims many fans and listeners have pointed out the similarities online. According to documents, The Diplomats have never given permission to use their music and want Wu-Tang to stop performing and selling the song and to give money for damages.
