The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers games had become quite common for the NBA finals, prior to LeBron James leaving the Cleveland team. With LeBron coming to the Los Angeles team, he missed the playoffs with a 37-45 record. Even NBA commissioner Adam Silver mentioned how LeBron not being in the playoffs negatively affected TV ratings.
In a recent article from Bleacher Report, Draymond Green was asked how he felt about not having LeBron James play in the playoffs. Green had strong feelings about his absence, especially since they’ve played against each other in four finals in a row. “It’s just weird,” Green said. “More as a basketball fan than anything: ‘Damn, Bron not there.’ It’s super weird. You always relish the opportunity to play against a talent like that.”
