Missy Elliott Is Set To Drop New Music Soon

There’s been talks of Missy Elliott getting honored for her music videos earlier this year, but it never manifested. However, it looks like she’ll be looking to make more music soon. Missy has not dropped an album since 2005’s, The Cookbook.

She took to Twitter to explain why she has not dropped music in a while. “For so long I was hesitant to put out music in fear no 1 would get it because people said music has changed & my sound been so different,” says Missy. “But NOW IM LIKE hey, bump it make music that feels good to me. let me Get y’all asses dancing again.”

Her contemporaries like Eminem and Lil Wayne have recently dropped music and, of course, her presence in the rap game is always welcomed. One can hope she gets back in the studio with Timbaland to make more classics, because we know that Missy music will always be great.
