Birdman is officially ready to retire from the rap game but not without releasing another album with Lil Wayne.

During a recent Young Money Radio episode, Wayne showed major love for his former Cash Money boss on the show and the two reflected on their relationship and Weezy’s impact while at Cash Money Records. Having settled their past issues and their extensive legal battle, the two New Orleans natives have definitely gained the respell they deserved in the game and for themselves.

As Tunechi looks to Birdman as a father figure, it only makes sense for the duo to release a follow up to their 2006 collab ‘Like Father, Like Son’, which is what Birdman has in mind. “I would like to do a Like Father, Like Son Two,” Birdman announced. Birdman goes on to confess that while he plans to put down the mic once and for all, he would like to release a farewell project. “Real round, that was me. You know I’m done rapping,” he said. “Rapping ain’t for me no more, I’m done with that shit. I like to make rappers, that’s what I do.” The Cash Money mogul goes on to say, “Real rap. So, I just want it to be my little farewell thing. I want to go out how I came in.”

No word or further details on the project or when Birdman will officially decide to step away from rap so we will all have to wait and see!
