It was just last week that Kanye West announced that he would be running in the 2020 Presidency race under the “Birthday Party”. As Ye officially made his campaign announcement via his Twitter account during the fourth of July holiday weekend, it looked like West might have dropped out of his chance for securing the White House. But, in true Ye fashion he still has more rolled up his sleeve.
First, according to reports from New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, since the “Wash Us In Blood” rapper missed the deadline for registration in six states and unable to meet approaching deadlines for Florida and South Carolina ballots, it all became too much for him and he decided to terminate his race. Intelligencer reported that Kanye was in the process of getting his name included on Florida’s ballot as a third-party candidate but apparently he would not have met the over 130,000 signatures needed to add Ye’s name.
