It’s been 25 years since Mariah Carey dropped her classic Christmas carol, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” At this point Carey is synonymous to the holiday, as her song has withstood the rest of time.
However, as iconic as it is, the song hadn’t managed to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 until now. The song managed to reach the top 10 chart in December 2017, but never the No. 1 spot. Now, this is Mariah’s first No. 1 song since 2008, and her 19th overall.
The song’s popularity just continues to grow and grow. Just last week, the track was streamed more than 45 million times in the country.
Congratulations to Mariah Carey!!
