Nipsey Hussle’s “Victory Lap” Collaborator Sues Estate Over Royalties

Via: Variety

Nipsey Hussle’s estate was recently sued over his “Hustle & Motivate” single, after a singer claimed that she was never paid for her work on the track. Now, another artist by the name of Bradley Davis has filed a lawsuit over unpaid royalties.

According to The Blast, Bradley claims that he wrote Nipsey’s “Rap N*****” with Johnathan Nezey and Daruis Martin. Bradley states that Nip did not receive permission to use the track, and that he never received royalties from the rapper. He further stated that Johnathan and Darius have “contractually granted [him] equitable entitlement to royalties as joint authors of “Rap N*****.”

Bradley will reportedly be calculating the royalties based on how much Victory Lap sold, as he’s currently not stated an amount.

Although Nipsey is gone, business has been booming for his estate as they continue to celebrate his life and legacy. Puma recently released a posthumous collaboration with Hussle, PUMA x TMC, with the merchandise selling out within the first hour.
