The passing of Geto Boys’ Bushwick Bill shook the hip hop world back in June. Before Bill passed away, the Geto Boys were reportedly planning on going on a last farewell tour. Just before the announcement of the tour, Bill had shared that he was battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was looking to complete the projects he was working on to keep money for his children.

The day before the tour kicked off, Bill backed out , which led to it being cancelled.

Although they were set to go on the road together again, in a recent interview with VladTV, Willie D said that he and Bill were not friends when the latter man passed. When Vlad asked Willie if he planned on attending Bill’s funeral, the rapper replied with a simple, “no.”

“I feel like it’s disingenuous for somebody to come to your funeral who you don’t like. Bill didn’t like me. I didn’t like Bill. That’s the truth. This ain’t no phony s***. I know that everybody wants to hear some politically correct s*** and all that but that’s the truth, bro. The truth is the truth. I know that if Bill had his choice, Bill probably see me walking up there like, ‘Get that motherf***** outta here.’ That’s how I feel. The energy is not right, bro. And I don’t need nobody looking upside my head and s*** like I did something. Like I f*****’ caused him to die or something. I don’t think that I would be welcomed.”
