Movie remakes seem to have become a common thing during these past couple of years. When it’s done right, a movie remake can bring the nostalgia out of the viewers, similar to the new Aladdin movie. Just this Memorial Day weekend, the Aladdin film earned roughly about $105 million in the United States alone. However, numbers are expected to be much bigger for the upcoming The Lion King movie.

According to UPROXX, the remake of the 1994 film is expected to do huge numbers this July. With an all-star cast starring the likes of Beyoncé, Donald Glover and Director Jon Favreau, the anticipation for the film has been building up for the past couple of months. The Lion King is expected to pull between $180 to $230 million dollars at the box office. These numbers stem from the positive reviews the film has been getting from the trailer alone, the return of Favreau to directing and of course, the nostalgic factor.

With these numbers still being just projections, it’s possible the movie either surpasses or underwhelms when the official results come around.

The Lion King is set to be released in theaters on July 19 of this year.
