The Wu-Tang Clan have been on a roll lately. Having recently had a district named after them and the release of their Showtime docu-series, Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics And Men, the group has announced that they will be releasing new music on Friday. These plans come in the form of an EP, which is reportedly inspired by the docu-series, which premiered last Friday.

The group took to Instagram to talk about their documentary and make the announcement of the project.

“You’ve seen episode 1 of the Wu documentary by now (and if you haven’t, what were you doing last weekend), now listen to the music inspired by the series,” the group announced on the post. “On Friday, we’re coming with a new Wu-Tang EP from @36Chambers and Mass Appeal, so let your boss know you’ll be in late to work.”

The group hasn’t released an album together since 2014’s, A Better Tomorrow, considering Once Upon a Time in Shaolin was a limited edition copy. The Saga Continues was also released back in 2017, but it did not feature U-God and was put together by hip hop producer, DJ Mathematics.
