Prior to going to jail, Tekashi 6ix9ine sat down with Fat Joe for an interview, with the veteran rapper warning him about the dangers of the streets. Joe proved to be right after Tekashi’s so-called “gangster” persona proved to reportedly be a front, as he had struck a deal with prosecutors and told on his co-defendants. Fat Joe has since stated that he’s canceled 6ix9ine for allegedly faking the entire persona.

Joe went on to say that you would never see him in a club with Tekashi, going as far as to say he can’t even listen to his music.

“I thought he was a nice guy, and now he can’t be my friend, he can’t come around me ever again,” Joe said. “Those are rules. He crossed that line. I don’t even understand if I go to the club and they play his song. I’m keepin it a buck. I pray for people who cross that line — when they talk to the police and they snitch, I pray for them.”

The veteran rapper went on to say that if it were back in the days, he would beat up any rapper who would play Tekashi’s music.

“I’m looking at what alleges to be street guys or gangsters — allegedly, we think hustlers, drug dealers singing the guy’s lyrics in the club knowing the guy’s on the daily news talkin’ about he spilled the beans. It’s crazy to me,” Joe said. “I would rather die before you see me in the picture with Tekashi 6ix9ine.”

One can only wonder how the hip hop community will react to Tekashi when he’s officially released from prison.
