For a couple of days now, the debate over who’s the “King Of R&B” has been a topic of discussion for fans of the genre. Dave Chappelle weighed in on the debate by making an unofficial declaration mentioning who he believes deserves that top spot. The comedian goes on to unofficially declare R. Kelly as his all-time “King of R&B.”

“The King of R&B, hate to say it, pees on people,” Chappelle stated at a celebrity holiday party in Toronto. The crowd seemed unbothered by the statement, or they might have not understood who he meant.

He then goes on to say, “R. Kelly is the King of R&B,” before making an introduction to the singer’s iconic, “Bump n’ Grind” track.

The discussion started thanks to singer Jacquees saying he held the crown. The internet made us clear that they disagreed with the singer, by naming others who they believe deserves that top spot instead.

Dave Chappelle is not one to stay quiet about his opinions, regardless of how controversial they are.
