In a recent interview with VladTV, Fat Joe spoke about his relationship with Biggie. Joe said that he and Jay-Z were probably the closest rappers to Biggie outside of his crew, Junior M.A.F.I.A.

Joe went on to mention recording four songs with Big, saying that they’re produced by Puff Daddy. However, he ended the possible speculation by saying that they will never be released.

“We did record…I was going to sign to Puff and me and Big were going to do an album together. So I’m the Puerto Rican don, he’s the Black don. Biggie brought me there and said ‘let’s do an album together.'”

Joe went on to mention being like a brother to Big L before his death, going into a depression after losing Big Pun, his sister, and his grandfather around the same time.
