Black Thought of The Roots Says “You Can’t Be Top 5 If You Don’t Write”

After dropping his new album, “Stream of Thoughts, Vol. 1,” Philly icon Black Thought went on to Hot 97 to talk about people mistaking him for Rick Ross and even gave his insight on the Pusha T/Drake beef.

The Roots front-man says he has no problem with ghostwriters in hip hop but went on to say, “you can’t be top 5 if you are not writing your own stuff.”

The discussion on ghostwriters has been prevalent in hip hop these past years. With Drake allegedly having a ghostwriter, many have chosen to comment on the situation.
