In a recent interview with USA TODAY, Slash was asked what his thoughts were on Hip Hop/R&B becoming the dominant genre of music.

“Rock isn’t mainstream anymore, and in some ways, I like that,” he says. “As far as hip-hop is concerned, it’s become so generic at this point. It’s definitely taken on a very top-40 thing.”

At the moment nine out of the current top 10 list include a rapper. Number one being Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You (Remix)” featuring Cardi B.

Slash has not been associated with any rapper throughout the course of his career.
